Colorbox and Drupal 6

I've been struggling with this problem for three days and three nights - due to a lack of experience, I can't configure Colorbox on Drupal 6. I've scoured the entire internet - found nothing. There are many examples for Drupal 7, and there are videos too. But I need it for the sixth version! The video available here is shown for the seventh version. It's unclear how to adapt it for 6.
Currently, I have the Colorbox, IMCE, Image, Insert, jQuery Update, and Ckbox modules installed. Access rights have been granted. It seems like I have everything necessary for it to work. What should I do after installation? The goal: I need to make it so that a small-sized image (thumbnail) expands to the original size. And not just in photo albums, but also in other types of content. Additionally, there should be an option to flip through the photos back and forth. That would be sufficient.
If anyone knows, please help me out, but step by step and in detail. I'm not familiar with PHP, but if there's ready-made code, I can edit the file as needed.
