Importing photos via FTP using Feeds

Drupal Commerce is installed. I import products via Feeds importers from a CSV file. Products are created, data is imported, photos are attached. When I change the image path in the CSV file from http://... to ftp://..., the images stop loading. What needs to be done so that Drupal understands the FTP path during import?
