Block positioning

Good day. I unexpectedly encountered a problem. I am placing two blocks with slideshow views in the region. I have positioned both of them. However, the second block just won't move up to align them in a row. It feels like there is a margin set for the block, even though that's not the case. The width is specified in percentage (see image 2). I removed clear:both  everywhere it was removed in the first block, except for the block-inner clearfix. But even there, removing it didn't help.
