Two questions about Drupal

Good day!

Could you please help me with two issues I've encountered:

First. Creating a video blog. Something like this, without any frills: 
http://www.bobsoccer.ru/videoblogs/. I'm facing Drupal for the first time, and I need results within a day or two. Just to clarify: I am not a web programmer, but an ordinary user.

Second, and most importantly. There is a regular text frame/block. The task is to implement content rotation in it based on a specified time cycle. Options are: day, week, or month.
