Field Conditional State does not work if the category is selected using Hierarchical Select.

Hello. The task was to create a two-step category selection, where the category is selected first, and then a subcategory selection field appears. This task can be easily solved using the Hierarchical Select module. However, there are also several dependent fields that rely on the selected category, which is implemented using the Field Conditional State module.

But here’s the problem: when selecting categories through the Hierarchical Select module, the dependent fields simply do not appear.

Attention QUESTION:
Could the issue be related to some settings of the module? Or is it just a problem with the module itself?
Is there another way to solve this problem? Are there any alternatives to these modules? Conditional Fields also does not work, and there isn't a proper version for Drupal 7.
