Installing the Advanced Forum on Drupal

I believe you've already configured Drupal and are ready to enhance it with new features. A forum can be a great platform for your website visitors to discuss important and current topics. Or perhaps you need to provide technical support to customers who purchased your product. Either way, if you need a forum, Drupal already has a solution for that.

The forum module included in Drupal core is very basic—perhaps too basic to be considered a true forum. However, there's another module built on top of it: Advanced Forum. Install Advanced Forum and you'll get a full-featured setup that meets the standard requirements of a forum. That said, even this "complete" setup could benefit from further refinement, which I’ll cover in this and the following lessons.
